El Paraiso Family Mexican Restaurant in Buena Vista

Awesome margaritas. My partner and I come here often as we live a couple miles away. The owner is awesome and always on top of things. This is the only place in Buena Vista that I would recommend for Mexican food

Food tasted good, but I didn't feel good, sick that night into the next day. I did like bean dip and salsa served with the chips. Service was good. It was my second time there. I'll think twice before going back.

They give you free cheese and bean with your free salsa and chips...That's a great touch. I wish you got the at ever Mexican restraint you went to. The food is o.k., average Mexican dishes.

Absolutely awesome service and food. Steak Asada was to die for and the enchiladas were delicious. And the service was outstanding. Will definitely eat here again when in town.

We really enjoyed our late lunch, about 2:15 on a Tuesday afternoon. The staff were very helpful and informative. It was pleasantly not busy for season. Right away got a large basket of good crunchy chips bowl of black salsa and bowl of grated veggies. Big drinks, full bar. I had a Chimmi deep fried. Loved it. Will be back for more.

No.... They are not open till 10 as there menu states.... Only 9

Staff was amazing, you should try the Mexican chipotle dishes on menu, food delivery is on time. No to forgot about the tortillas. If you are looking for spicy dinner, this is the best one.

Staff and food is amazing! Friendly and helpful. Margaritas are fantastic, try the Italian (Indian on menu). We've ate a variety of food and couldn't be disappointed in anything, relleno, chicken, pork and steak. Chips and salsa and warm beans were some of the best we've had. This was our second visit and will gladly make the hour drive to come again very soon!

The food was absolutely terrible. We got a frozen and on the rocks margarita and they both tasted awful. Would definitely not recommend!

Went for Tue $2.00 tacos. Hostess told us any taco on menu was available for $2. While ordering a male waiter told us only ground, shredded beef and chicken tacos were available for sale price. Menu indicated all tacos were same price. Curious. They were ok and service was fine.

Love the friendly staff and the food is great. I haven't had a bad meal ever. They have amazing chicken tacos.

We especially loved the chimichangas and a simple and perfect cheese enchilada. Best of all, they're pet friendly, so we were able to have our dog with us on the patio! We'll be back next time we're in town.

We try to have dinner or lunch here at least twice a month. Their food is very good, best Mexican in Buena Vista. Great chips and salsa. Can't comment on the bar drinks since we don't drink alcohol. Service is great and very friendly.

This was one of the few restaurants open at 9pm and I'm so glad we found it. The food and service was excellent- warm chips and tasty homemade salsa! The chicken with chipotle is spicy and delicious. And if you want spicier salsa, just ask! But be prepared because it is hot!

Amazing food. Excellent atmosphere. I'm so grateful they were open when we got there. Our waitress was very attentive.

My family and I were visiting Mount Princeton Resort from Texas, and we decided one night we wanted to try one of the restaurants outside of the resort. We're from Houston, so even on Sunday nights - were used to places being open super late. We had so much trouble finding a place to eat that was open at 9pm. NO WHERE SERVED FOOD AFTER NINE. So we were kinda screwed. We saw the "open" sign at El Paraiso on at 9:10, so we went in and asked if they were open. They said "we just closed at 9 actually." We were prepared to leave and go find somewhere else, and the gentleman said they'd stay open and to come on in and enjoy a meal. They were NEVER pushy to get us to leave, we got great service, and the food was awesome. I shared the fajitas for two, and omg - they give you enough for at least 3 people. Maybe even four. I was shocked since when sharing for two, you still usually don't get a great portion. I definitely recommend this place!!

If it weren't for the chips, I would give them two stars.The chips were fantastic! Salsa had the perfect amount of heat.Everything else we had could have easily been much better. They cut some corners on things like the cheese (processed).The service was very good. The people there care about what they're doing. They just need better ingredients to work with.

This place was pretty good. Came here to grab a quick bite before horse back riding. The salsa and beam dip is great.

Fast friendly service and great food. #34 pollo chipotle was tasty and not TOO hot. Great after a day of skiing!

Best Mexican Food and Beverages in Buena Vista. Very friendly service! Disappointed with Mount Princeton Hot Spring's bar and fine dining and ended up at El Paraiso . Want great cocktail go to El Paraiso not Mount Princeton Hot Spring's . Thank you for a great dining experience El Paraiso.

Good food, nice homey atmosphere. Easy to find. Parking is a bit hard to find.

Great tasting food all the way from the complimentary chips/salsa/refried beans to the entree. Good portion sizes. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Recommend!

20 minutes to get our order taken, then waited another 35+ for the food (3 enchiladas and 1 taco). Waitress came out and explained to us and the other table next to us that there was a big order put in and they were just starting on ours. Waited another 5 minutes and left. Place was maybe 60-70% capacity at most. Chips and salsa were pretty good.

The chips and salsa and bean dip here are AMAZING! Possibly some of the best I've ever had. Also, the drinks are good and strong, and the service is great. I've tried the burrito, chimichanga, enchiladas, and tacos though and none of them really stood out as being great - only good, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

We were vacationing at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and stumbled upon this great restaurant. We had fantastic service, delicious food, and hand-crafted margaritas for a great price! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area if you are a lover of the Mexican cuisine (aka everyone).

Unauthentic food service was nice, the place was cute, but overall wouldn't go back.

It was great but a local told us it was closing next week.......that would put it around April 1, 2018. They are opening a new place in Gunnison I hear........

The food and drinks were decent but the service was terrible. I have worked in the service industry for a long time so I am pretty forgiving because I understand how it goes, but this was pretty disappointing. It was not a very busy afternoon and the wait for our server to even greet us was quite lengthy as well as the rest of the experience. We needed up having to walk up to them with our payment because it seemed that they had basically forgotten about us. There was an overall negative attitude coming from the staff as well. The menu seemed pretty pricey and I wouldn't have minded the prices if the service was better.

We were visiting from Co Springs the food was great and definitely tasted like authentic Mexican food. Everything was served hot and in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

Right on the main drag in Buena Vista so expensive (tourist town). Food tasty and the service was excellent! Ate outside because I am travelling with my little dog, they brought ice water for my baby and were quite attentive.

We stopped today for dinner, the food & service was excellent! We had the taco salad, chips’n’salsa, and the 3 Carnitas tacos plate. The servings were huge and the steak on the taco salad was great. The Carnitas tacos were juicy and mostly meat, that was a treat! The chips’n’salsa were tasty, chips came with cabbage in a separate bowl along with salsa. Overall our experience was good, we love Mexican food though so it’s hard for us to give 5 stars to a place unless we are mind blown.

The shrimp Jalisco is outstanding. Jose is an excellent owner and personally greets everyone. 😊😋

Food was very good. Service was the problem here. We waited over an hour for food. We were trying to flag our waitress to pay for our drinks when the food finally showed up.

We are visiting from Northern Colorado, and we had a great experience! The food was very good and the best part was our waiter Francisco! He was so nice and took great care of us! We will definitely come back the next time we are in Buena Vista! Give Francisco a raise he is awesome!!

Excellent excellent food, amazing! The shrimp stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon and cream sauce covered was A-Maze-Ing! The parking was hard to fine, due to a very busy night. Theye busy, packed when we went so the service was a bit slow, but otherwise it was a nice supper.My wife and I will return!

Good tacos and nice atmosphere. We went on taco Tuesday, giving us tacos for $2 (regularly $4.50). Well worth the stop!

Outstanding service and combo was outstanding with Chile Reno enchilada and burrito

I travel extensively and am a Colorado Native. I am embarrassed there is as poor of quality of food served and called Mexican in this establishment. The taste is bland and must of been developed for others whom do not enjoy the flavors which erupt in true Mexican food. I could serve up more of a dynamic flavor out of an Old El Paso can.

Fast friendly service, well worn atmosphere, REALLY GREAT FOOD and a house margarita that will kick your butt! One is all you want if you want to walk out the door without assistance.
